Their relationship became an addiction for each other, an intrinsic craving and evolves to where they become extensions of each other. Someone was always in someone else's business. In contrast, Hayden is a mess without Tenley around him. Despite their intense physical attraction, Hayden and Tenley struggle to repair their fragile emotional connection. They both have very traumatic pasts and it was good to see Hayden starting to make some headway in processing what had happened to him. Readers worried about a long, drawn out separation need not worry! Someone was always in someone else's business. It felt as if I had always been his.
When we left Hayden and Tenley, they had a deep but guarded connection. But there are still so many obstacles in their path. After the short suffering after the cliffhanger ending in Clipped Wings I was unsure if a quick reunion was going to be enough to make up for her leaving. I liked Inked Armor more than Clipped Wings. And this book did not disappoint. I loved Clipped Wings and I was excited to read Inked Armor.
The book was published in multiple languages including English language, consists of 382 pages and is available in Kindle Edition format. You can also check out the review for the first book there as well. There was no epilogue but the last few chapters were a delightful detail of the events that happened once all ghosts were laid to rest. I almost forgot to mention this, there was a subplot which you could put together with the leading memories and nightmares Hayden had. Plagued by nightmares about the murder of his parents, Hayden reaches ou In this follow-up to Clipped Wings, the emotional love story continues between Hayden and Tenley; two young people who desperately want to love and be loved but are afraid to completely let go of their pasts.
Tenley made some bad choices and hurt others in the process. This was not the reunion of Tenley and Hayden I was expecting be it very fitting. I would have gone nuts if I had to wait. But even though story focuses on sad and serious topics, it never felt too depressive. Can a love this deep heal the scars of the past? Plus I needed more Tenley and Hayden. Right away I was worried that this was going to be the focus of most of the book, her coming back and them fighting about her leaving.
My favorite thing about Inked Armor was watching both characters growth. It was an emotional journey from start to finish for the characters not so much me. It went right down to the soul. Go read it to find out the rest! It was different and funny and emotional. We do not guarantee that these techniques will work for you or not. This whole series was just so good! Not for two people as emotionally broken as Hayden and Tenley.
I wanted to hear the same from her. Torturing himself with the what-if's, while trying to pretend everything is all right he relies on Tenley. Side note: these covers are so fucking beautiful. He loosens up after initially meeting Tenley, then relapses when she disappears, but eventually finds fairly stable ground and although organisation continues to be a coping mechanism, it is no longer of as obsessive a nature as it was before. And despite her grief, her feelings for Hayden remain as intense and all-consuming as ever. It was romantic and hot and even though this had lots of angst, it was still a feel good read thanks to their friends and family ribbing each other and looking out for each other. She has been to hell and back and when Hayden is putting his thoughts of her out there, she knows, she knows she has a winner in him.
The story of Tenley and Hayden renews our faith through the angst and pain of these complex characters. Helena Hunting managed it and I have to compliment her on it. This book did not disappoint. Some of the techniques listed in Inked Armour may require a sound knowledge of Hypnosis, users are advised to either leave those sections or must have a basic understanding of the subject before practicing them. The chemistry between Hayden and Tenley is one of my favorite things about this series. I mean besides the hot tattoo artists, the out of the box characters, the interesting storyline and the humour There was like the minimal amount of freaking angst. In all, Inked Armour was an absolute pleasure to read and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more work from Helena Hunting! The story is just a consuming as Tenley and Hayden find their relationship; a remarkable testament to the writing when the reader feels the raw emotions of the characters so fully.
. Any lapse in his control sends him spinning except where Tenley is concerned. This is an angsty book punctuated by some very hot and sexy scenes. Balanced on the brink of self-destruction, he realises he needs to face the truth about his past if he has any hope of a future. I just think that I'd have enjoyed it more if the focus had stayed on their relationship and the way events from their pasts were effecting them both.
I was not happy with the way it ended and just could not make myself read the follow up. This book is intense, emotional, heart-wrenching, romantic, and ultimately very satisfying. My 4 stars is generous, and maybe a little nostalgic. A lot of problems with Hayden and Tenley's relationship stemmed from Tenley herself almost every single time. And in the wake of her leaving, Hayden's carefully ordered world threatens to spiral out of control. I am spent… in an amazing way after reading this book. The first edition of this novel was published in May 8th 2014, and was written by Helena Hunting.
Despite their pasts, he and Tenley developed a fragile emotional connection that was a balm for both of them. I liked that, whereas in Clipped Wings the story was more about how Hayden helped Tenley heal from the accident, this book focused on how Tenley helped Hayden deal with the issues of his past. I could feel my heart breaking for them both. Longing to love and be loved, emotionally crippled, unconventional and sexy both our heroes grow so much as characters, fighting to let go of their pasts and trusting each other with their hearts. I love the tenacity of Tenley. This book did not disappoint. I do love as a couple and I've been rooting for them since the beginning so it was nice to see them get some kind of closure there but as much as I liked the book I'm disappointed to say that I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would.
